Unlocking my heart hasn't always been the easiest task
My husband, my children and my need for expression is the key. I dont know what it is about my music but I feel possessive over it. I am such a nerd...but I do take ownership over my soundtracks. I can tell you the exact wording and instrument that made me fall in love and say ...its mine.
I want to be taken on a journey within each melody... It has to inspire me
For example.... I saw one of "MY" songs on a popular blog and was like...um ...No its mine, what are you doing. lol
Now this one I share with steven...only cause its our song.
He played it to me when we were dating and its even engraved on my wedding band.
The word play is brilliant

you are not the only one! I think many of us are the same way:) But I do want to say I love you taste in music and since I have gotten lazy in my music discovering it is refreshing and fun to see what you "discover"!

You definitely aren't the only one. I have the same feelings when I introduce a song to someone and then a while later they'll ask me if I've heard that song and I'm like...um yeah...I told you about it and it's mine!:) You're generous for sharing great finds with us! Just so you know, The Pierces Lights On is one of my favs and I only found it from your old blog way back when.:) Love that song. It came up on shuffle on my iPod on the way home from work today and every time I hear that song I think of you. So it's kinda yours.:) I'm gonna have to give all these other songs a listen now. Thanks!
Did you know that Bon Iver is actually pronounced like Bone Eeevair? I learned that a few weeks ago, interesting.
Hey lady, long time no talk ;) I'm just so thrilled to see you so happy - you deserve it.
I just wanted to take a moment to comment on this post. I read this a while ago when you first posted it and knew how you felt. Today I realized while listening to songs I thought how I would have never even heard them had it not been for you. I even go to your blog just to play your playlist while I edit. In a way, I think of them as your songs too and I just wanted to say thank you for sharing them with us and making our lives better because of all the great music we now have on our playlists :)
